Der im Stil von "The Parasite" gedrehte Film soll ein gigantisches Monster beinhalten, welches mit Handkameras von den Bewohnern von New York gefilmt wird.
Das Besondere daran ist, dass man den Film tatsächlich stellenweise mit Handkameras filmt - man will so die scheinbar "realistischen" Aufnahmen der Menschen in den Film mit einbeziehen.
Angeblich soll der erste Teaser direkt mit "Transformers" erscheinen!

Laut AICN wird Abrams nicht die Regie führen sondern wahrscheinlich nur als Produzent dabei sein. Er hatte sich stattdessen entschieden bei Star Trek als Regisseur zu fungieren.

Laut AICN wird Matt Reeves (Showrunner von Felicity) Regie führen. Bryan Burk ist einer der Produzenten, der u.a. auch bei Lost und beim neuen Star Trek Film als Produzent fungiert.

Eigentlich erstaunlich, dass der Film es im Internetzeitalter geschaft so lange "geheim" zu bleiben. Offiziell ist praktisch nichts bekannt, außer Produzent JJ Abrams und Release Date. Nicht einmal der Name des Films ist bekannt.
Die Infos zu Drehbuchautor, Regisseur und Story stammen ja von AICN.

"Blairwitch meets Gozilla" ?

Sieht alles recht seltsam aus.

Ich habe den Trailer jetzt gesehen und muss sagen, dass er wirklich geil aussieht. Ich bin echt gespannt was das ist und hoffe, dass demnächst was Neues vom Film geben wird.

Ich habe den Trailer nun auch auf YouTube gesehen, auch wenn er in schlechter Qualitaet ist (abgefilmt von der Leinwand) sieht er ziemlich interessant aus und die Story um das Monster auch.

Gerüchte besagen, dass Abrams eine Story von H.P. Lovecraft verfilmt. Angeblich soll es sich um Cthulhu handeln.

Ich hab mal die zwei Websites aus der News besucht und muss ehrlich zugeben, dass das eine tolle Marketingidee ist. Alles sehr mysteriös. Hab das Rätsel mit der Kugel gelöst und gehöre jetzt zu den Auserwählten. Was das genau heisst, wird wohl erst am 1. August rauskommen.

PS: Wer Hilfe bei den Rätseln braucht, kann hier gerne fragen.

Ich finde das Projekt ziemlich interessant. Den Trailer habe ich auch auf YouTube gesehen, aber soweit ich das erfahren habe wurden diese jetzt alle gelöscht. Der Trailer sah nett aus, auch wenn man nicht sonderlich viel erfahren hat. Aber alleine schon dass versucht wird dass das Projekt geheim gehalten wird finde ich ziemlich interessant. Ich bin gespannt was da noch kommt.

Auf der offiziellen Homepage gibt es jetzt zwei Bilder aus dem Trailer zu sehen. Ausser den Bildern ist da noch nichts. Diese kann man mit dem Mauszeiger hin und her bewegen, ob dahinter eine versteckte Botschaft ist...

Auf ethanhaaswasright kriegt man diverse Videos von einem Typen namens Van zu sehen, der wohl einer der Anhänger von Ethan Haas - irgendein Prophet (?) - ist und noch mehr Leute für die Sache rekrutieren will.
So heisst es u.a. wenn das "Ende" kommt, dann müssen die Menschen gemeinsam dagegen ankämpfen.

Auf ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com bloggt eine Gruppe namens Mezin, die Ethan Haas als Blender und Irreführer bezeichnen und seine Theorien in Frage stellen.

The signs have already started to show themselves, they have been for years. But when money is more important than saving lives to the ones who have the power to stop it, why would they want to hear the truth? Our ways have brought this upon ourselves. And this is just the beginning. This world is going to change, one way or another; it’s inevitable, you know this. But there’s help out there for us. Now I’ll make a single point to find it. Challenge those who know before it’s too late.


3. Video

We are blinded by our own selfish interests. Our wars are taking the lives of those we’ll need for the bigger battle ahead. Intolerance, oppression, poverty, and poor education are killing those that could help defend the world. The media is failing us in exchange for ratings. Of course, no one can see what we see. The destruction will be unlike anything the world has ever seen. The more of us that survive, the better our chances. The stars begin to rain down. The few survivors will think there’s safety in the cities. But they won’t know what you and I know. Only then it will it really be the beginning of the end. When they finally show themselves, and shock what’s left of the old world, where we stand in the new hierarchy will be up to us, and what we do today. This will be the final and most challenging of all things that have come. We won’t have time for any more games after this, only the truth. Now, the more that we are in the same place at the same time, the more we will all see: we must organize before it’s too late.

Wow, wirklich schraeges Marketing. Aber gefaellt mir gut, wenn ich ehrlich bin, habe ich jetzt noch mehr interesse am Film, hoert sich wirklich toll an. Den Trailer habe ich mich jetzt auch endlich in besserer Qualitaet ansehen koennen und der Trailer ist ebenfalls gut.

Der Trailer macht auf jeden Fall neugierig . Frag mich was das für ein Ding war , dass da gebrüllt hat . Sah jetzt auch nicht gerade nach Teenie-Schrott aus , sonst hätte die Party ja wohl anders ausgesehen . Die Effekte sahen auch nicht schlecht aus .
Könnte ein durchaus guter Film werden .

Unglaublich interessant....

Dieser Teaser sieht sogar verdammt interessant aus, hat irgendwas von den Geräuschen die wir aus Lost kennen. Und wie es aussieht scheint der Titel noch nicht festzustehen.... bin wirklich sehr gespannt was sich dahinter versteckt.

Seltsam ist nur das wir zuvor noch gar nichts über dieses Projekt erfahren haben und es so aussieht als wäre der Film bereits abgedreht und bald schon in den Kinos (Januar).

J. J. Abrams ist klasse, von ihm erwarte ich mitlerweile nur noch gutes.

JJ Abrams hat Harry Knowles ein paar Zeilen geschickt. Demzufolge hat Ethan Haas nichts mit der Sache zu tun.

Regarding the online stuff you posted: yeah, we're doing some fun stuff on the web. But, obviously, if the movie doesn't kick some massive ASS, who gives a rat's about what's online? So as you can imagine, we're focusing mostly on THAT. For what it's worth, the only site of ours that people have even FOUND is the 1-18-08.com site. The others (like the Ethan Haas sites) have nothing to do with us.

sieht nach ein bischen nach blair witch project aus, diese bekannten amateur- und wackelaufnahmen. aber ich liebe solche filme, da ist man "live" dabei, man fiebert mit. so ein typ film werden wir , zuschauer, zum ersten mal zu gesicht bekommen. ich bin gespannt auf 2008, endlich wird mal zeit was neues auf die leinwand zu bringen
