One day, the only son of famous news anchor, HAN Kyung-bae, disappeared without a trace. Soon, the kidnapper calls the nine-year-old boy’s mother, OH Jisun, demanding $100,000 as ransom. The police assign veteran detective KIM Wook-jung to the case and assemble a top-notch task force under his command. However, the kidnapper constantly outwits the police traps and keeps calling the parents with yet another instruction for the money drop. The only clue the police and the parents have is the kidnapper’s voice recorded on the tape; his cultured, but emotionless voice, which often gives anyone who listens goose bumps. The parents become restless and angry as days turns into weeks, and one day, when the kidnapper calls HAN Kyung-bae with another set of instructions, he turns the situation completely around and demands a direct confrontation. He starts giving instructions to the kidnapper...
Nun ein Thread zu meiner derzeitigen Nummer 1 der Most Wanted-Liste, dem neuen Psychothriller vom Regisseur von "You Are My Sunshine" - "Voice of a Murderer". Der Film ist einfach grandios besetzt mit Sol Kyung-Gu in der Hauptrolle, der seit "Silmido", "Another Public Enemy" und den Filmen von Lee Chang-Dong nach Song Kang-Ho zu meinen Lieblingsschauspielern Koreas gehört. Mit an Bord ist ebenfalls Kang Dong-Won, der bereits in Filmen wie "Too Beautiful to Lie" oder auch "Maundy Thursday" geglänzt hat. Diesmal als Kidnapper!
Ein weiterer Garant des koreanischen Kinos ist ebenfalls mit an Bord: Komponist Lee Byung-Woo komponierte die Musik! Man darf sicherlich einiges erwarten von dem Mann, der die Soundtracks zu "A Tale of two Sisters", "Untold Scandal", "The Red Shoes" und "The Host" komponiert hat. Für aktuelle Filme wie "Miracle on First Street", "Soo" und auch Jin Jang's neuem Drama "My Son" komponierte er ebenfalls die Musik.
Planmäßig soll "Voice of a Murderer" Anfang Juni endlich in Korea als 2 Disc Special Edition auf DVD erscheinen. Momentan ist er weiterhin der erfolgreichste koreanische Film 2007, mit insgesamt mehr als 18 Millionen Dollar Gesamteinspielergebnis. Die Story und der Trailer versprechen sicherlich einen hochspannenden, genial gefilmten, sowie mit grandiosen Darstellerleistungen verpackten und mit passender Musik untermalten Thriller. Ich bin jedenfalls richtig gespannt und kann es nicht mehr abwarten.
